A cake made to satisfy a young lady and a young man! Three year old twins and I even added a choice of boy/girl candles.

The colour of 2010 is very obviously regal purple or Cadbury’s purple. Beautiful, rich, deep purple and the square cake carry’s it so well.

let’s hear it once again for the ever popular, timelessly classic four tiered wedding cake with bow and pearls!

Making it’s second appearance this month and this time showcasing a lovely regal purple ribbon and wide spaced dot decoration!

This cake was a version of my flower cake but to feed  a crowd. So easy in a 10″ square as you don’t have to give a thought to the complicated world of cutting and portioning it up, just sneakily make sure there’s some leftovers!

These dummy cakes were reunited one sunny Sunday recently, here they are ready to strut their stuff at The Orchid Hotel Wedding Show. This was the last outing now for these faithful friends before their redesign for the coming Season!

I know as a cake maker and creator of many cakes of various styles I should never admit that I have favourites and should love them all the same, but, I have to admit that deep down I loved this cake just a bit more than the others!!

Wedding Cake

I needed this beautiful cake to be completely and utterly flawless, it was perfect for the elegant wedding it was ordered for because of it’s striking simplicity. The finished structure was tall and commanding, naturally demanding the attention it deserved.  The sugarpaste bow was set on top interspersed with ivory pearls. It really was a beauty!
