Pretty pastel wedding cake all set up at Parley Manor. The setting is perfect for an English Summer Wedding but when you then add pink and blue delphiniums and metres and metres of handmade bunting then it is nothing short of perfect!
Cakes for Girls
Mickey and Minnie Mouse Cake
A cake made to satisfy a young lady and a young man! Three year old twins and I even added a choice of boy/girl candles.
Boxed up and ready to go….
I asked, actually pleaded, with my youngest two children if a bottle of wine would suffice for gifts at the end of term. Horror of horrors….. No! Life could never be that straight forward!
I was turning out 150 cupcakes that day anyway, so what difference would an extra few dozen make?
Wedded Bliss
Bride and Groom Cake Topper with the minor details modelled on Emily and Gareth. The four tiered fruit cake was travelling up to Worcestershire for this weekends wedding. The parents of the groom seemed undaunted by the task of transporting it. The mere thought of such a request would usually strike fear to the heart of the most hardened soul!
50 Years on!
Amongst all these wedding cakes we have to remember to celebrate those major matrimonial milestones as well and celebrate them as they deserve, with yet more cake of course!
Shell Cake
Lovely Lucinda turned 16 and her family ordered her a cake to surprise her.
“She loves the sea and I’ll leave the rest to you” said her equally lovely mother! I love it when this happens and it’s even better when I know the reciprient, almost total free rein!
Sand and shells with a dose of pearl and glitter and a secret seahorse for the birthday girl.
Shhhhh….. Beauty is Sleeping
Millie ordered anything Disney Princess, pink with roses. This Debbie Brown design sprung to mind and it was a delight to make. I was choc-a-bloc full last week and shouldn’t have accepted the booking but I truly couldn’t resist!
Peacefully sleeping in preparation for Millie’s 5th Birthday Party, a girl needs her strength you know!
Lashings of Prettiness!
Rhinefield House Wedding Tower
A beautiful 8 tiered tower set up at Rhinefield House. Ninety cupcakes, chocolate and raspberry, double chocolate, lemon and finally carrot. Lots of detail and naturally, lots of glitter!
Close up detail.
and finally…… a top cake to top it all off.
I loved this tower!
