It’s a Family Affair!
A tall task! A fabulous family wedding was planned and everyone was to be included. Intimate details were exchanged and it was important that everyone was happy and apparently it all met with approval!
A lovely family deserves a lovely cake!
In all it’s glory!
Branksome Dene Beach Wedding Tower
Kate and Bryan’s fabulous wedding at Branksome Dene Hall required a statement piece and I needed to come up with the goods!
The cake topper for the chocolate and toffee top cake was topped of with minitures of the bride and groom, Kate with her snorkel and mask and Bryan with his kite surfing board.
Underneath this little treasure was no less than 100 more little treasures. What a combination sun (well a little), sand and cake! Perfect!
Wedded Bliss
Bride and Groom Cake Topper with the minor details modelled on Emily and Gareth. The four tiered fruit cake was travelling up to Worcestershire for this weekends wedding. The parents of the groom seemed undaunted by the task of transporting it. The mere thought of such a request would usually strike fear to the heart of the most hardened soul!
Bride and Groom Cake Topper
The minor details of this cake topper were adapted to compliment the couple, the bride’s blond hair, the groom’s black hair, gold waistcoat and a strapless dress. The bride ordered this a a gift for her husband-to-be, in my opinion, a great gift.
Boxing Clever
You are never too old for cake! You certainly wouldn’t suggest such a thing to this person as they obviously know what to do with a pair of boxing gloves!
Bonny Baby
This cake was made for a precious baby girl on her Christening Day, precious because she has THREE older brothers so a splash of pink in the household has been relished and enjoyed. The instructions for this cake were, naturally, pink, pink and just a little bit more pink.
Serious Sofa Time
This cake was a delight from start to finish. It was ordered by a chap for his wife and was centred around her favourite purple boots. The order was simple to start with, it was simply to be the groovy boots on a jazzy cake and then the “oh actually, could you just’s…….” began and the cake became incredibly personal. Photos of sofas and boots and baby’s teddies were exchanged, ages and hair colours were discussed. This gentleman deserves every single brownie point he is awarded for effort and imagination, he went to so much trouble and was justifiably pleased with himself . I have been promised a photo of his wife (and the boots perhaps) with her cake so watch this space!
Lazy Horse Cake!
This cake was ordered for a horse mad young lady but the horse looks lazy and stubborn and less than likely to be tempted by the bucket of goodies on the other side of the fence!
